Governors are volunteers who give up their spare time to support the school leadership team in their strategic vision for the school. As a group they have ultimate responsibility for ensuring the school budget is spent for the benefit of the pupils in school. Not all Governors can visit school due to their work commitments during the day but all attend regular evening meetings. Those that can visit write reports and these are read and discussed at the full Governor meetings. The Governing body bring useful skills from their working lives which combine with the education expertise of the leadership team and staff to create a powerful combination for the progress and achievement of pupils.
