Hi 5 Netball 

Well done to our Netball team for finishing third in the Gravity Red Hi 5 Netball Tournament at Cleethorpes Leisure centre. 

The team have competed in a number of rounds throughout the year against teams from Scartho, Signhills and New Waltham. They should be proud of their efforts as the team have improved as the season has gone on.

Year 3/4 Athletics Qualify For The Area Final

Well done to the Year 3/4 Athletics team who competed in the first round event last week at Grimsby Institute College. The team of eighteen competed in a range of track and field events against other schools in the area. They successfully managed to qualify for the area finals! The team, along with seven other schools will compete against each other on Tuesday 14th February at Grimsby Institute College.

Year 5/6 Football Tournament at Bradley Development Centre

 

On Thursday, the Year 5/6 Football Team competed in the third round of fixtures at Bradley Football Development Centre. The team are currently joint top in the standings along with Signhills School.

In the third round of fixtures, the team played really well, with some great individual performances.

Team – Callum, Dylan, Oliver, Dylan, Yahya, Jacob, Elliot, Harrison.

Player of the Round – Yahya – Yahya has improved greatly since the first round of fixtures back in October. He is now much more a team player and he is making the right choices when in possession of the football. He completed some brilliant passes and scored some well worked goals. Well done Yahya,  you should be really proud of the way you played for the team.

Year 6 Hi 5 Netball Tournament

This afternoon, the Year 6 Netball team took part in the 3rd round of fixtures at Cleethorpes Leisure Centre. The children passed the ball really well and scored some great points.

Team : Dylan, Ella, Meeghan, Callum, Teagan, Molly, Dylan

Player of the Round : Ella

Ella concentrated really hard on her positioning during each game. She managed to mark her opposite player effectively and successfully intercept passes. Also when she was GA, she moved into space well and was rewarded with a point from a great shot in the last game. Well done Ella!

Athletics Final

The athletics school team took part in the final of the North East Lincolnshire athletics event last Thursday at Grimsby Institute College. Both the boys and girls competed against the top 8 schools from the area and excelled in the track and field events. They managed to finish 5th on the day, which is a huge achievement for the first year at this event.  Twenty five schools took part at the start, so the children  should feel extremely proud of their efforts, well done! A special certificate will be given out this Thursday in Sport Assembly.

Bradley Football Season Tournament

The football team played the second round of fixtures last Thursday at Bradley Football Development Centre. It was arguably the best team performance of the season, with the side winning four games and drawing one without conceding!

Team : Hayden, Elliot, Dylan, Callum, Dylan, Yahya, Callum, Harrison,  Brandon, Jacob.

Player of the Team : Brandon.

Brandon worked tremendously hard for the team  in every minute he played! He showed great willingness to help his side when they didn’t have the ball, but also being a real team player when his team were in possession. Also, Brandon showed great composure in front of goal, scoring a number of goals to help the team remain unbeaten throughout the afternoon. Well done Brandon, you should be really proud!

Year 5/6 Football Tournament at Old Clee School

The Year 5/6 football team played tonight at the Old Clee Tournament. Unfortunately, they didn’t qualify for the finals in Hull. They worked hard throughout the tournament, but they didn’t convert enough of the chances they created into goals.

Results : St. James 0-0 drew, Lisle Marsden 2-1 defeat, Yarborough 1-0 defeat, Old Clee 1-0 win.

Team – Hayden, Leland, Elliot, Dylan, Yaha, Brandon, Callum, Harrison, Brandon.

Player of the Team : Dylan. Dylan worked extremely hard for the team in all the games. He tried to pass the ball as much as he could and kept his head up high when things weren’t going well for the team. Well done Dylan.
